Jogert wins Stage Four as Mori keeps red jersey
LANGKAWI: Norwegian Rune Jogert unleashed his sprinting prowess to clinch Stage Four and hand his team Krone their first victory in the Gamuda Eagle Tour of Malaysia (ETOM) here yesterday.
The 25-year-old rider was in his element, brushing aside challenges from Paul Redenbach of team Down Under and Paul Griffin of the Irish national team respectively to the finishing line at Dataran Marmar.
Finishing in a bunch, all the 72 riders, including the top three, clocked 3’02:11. The fourth stage started at Dataran Lang, covering a distance of over 134.3km.
“I’m really happy with this victory ... hopefully, we will get another stage win tomorrow (today),” said Jogert.
