The National Science Centre stands on a small hill in Bukit Kiara on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. The building is designed in the shape of a truncated cone and the whole structure is covered with a huge geodesic dome. It is equipped with an Intelligent Building Automation System and its exhibition gallery occupies two floors. It also has a multimedia library, lecture theatre, multi-purpose hall and cafeteria.

Opening hours are from 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is RM 6 for adults and RM 4 for kids.
