Fraser's Hill located 1524m above sea level is an oldworld hill station, a legacy of colonial times which offers the visitor some feel of an English countryside with its cool and quiet rustic air. It is named after English adventurer, Louis James Fraser, who towards the end of the 19th century built a shack in the hills and operated a mule-train service in tin-ore. He quietly disappeared at the turn of the century.
This cool hideaway has a 18-hole golf course, a waterfall, flower nurseries and strawberry and vegetable farms.
Facilities include several charming old-world buildings and bungalows for accommodation, an equestrian club, a children's playground, a mini zoo and a lake.
Fraser's Hill has many jungle trails which offer some views of the hillside flora and fauna. The hill is also popular with bird watchers who have identified some 260 species of birds in the area, including some rare ones.
